BAFA-winning actress Virginia McKenna (A Town Like Alice, Born Free) and Oscar-winner Paul Scofield (A Man For All Seasons, Quiz Show) star in this moving and dramatic story of a woman who volunteers to be parachuted into France as a secret agent to reorganise a shattered resistance group. Her mission successful, she joins the Resistance - harrying German reinforcements who are targeted for the Nornandy front. Ultimately she is captured and handed over to the Gestapo. How will she handle the interrogration? Will she betray her comrades? Can she aviod the concentration camps?
Written and directed by Oscar-nominated Lewis Gilbert (Alfie, Educating Rita), Carve Her Name With Pride is a profoundly moving tale of the horrors of war and the endurance of the human spirit to overcome even the worst of situations.
