The Bands Of The Royal Air Force
The RAF Bands were formally established in 1920 and have always been regarded as a focus of unit identity and a boost to general morale. A lot has happened in the relatively short history of the RAF music services which spans only 60 years. It has achieved remarkable success as a pathfinder anda pacesetter in British military band music, which is captured within this DVD. At its peak the RAF music service boasted ten established bands. However, in line with the Army and Navy, the number of bands and personnel have been halved, but still retain their reputation for excellence in playing all types of music.
