Holidays With Pay
The story of the Mancunian Film Company began in 1927 when John E. Blakeley made his first series of 'singalong silents'. His dream of opening a film studio in Manchester became a reality in 1947 when he fulfilled his ambition of 'Northern films for Northern people.' A stalwart of the Mancunian film studios was the great comic, Frank Randle. Holidays with Pay was Randle's fifth film for Mancunian and was made in 1948 at JohnE Blakeley's Manchester studios and on location in Blackpool.
